WCO Mission

The Workplace Consulting Organisation (WCO) is a professional body of workplace consultants aimed at:

“raising the profile of workplace consulting and improving the understanding of the value of workplace consulting within the property and design industry, client organisations, and the research community”

In addition, the WCO provides a:

  • network for knowledge sharing between peers;
  • hub for the training and recruitment of prospective workplace consultants;
  • register of workplace consultants recognised as meeting the WCO membership criteria;
  • body for lobbying and influencing debate within the wider industry.

Recently, Neil Usher has made some pretty damming comments about the lack of activity on this member’s site. Although I believe the comments are petty and offer little practical value there is a worrying element of truth to them.When the site was set up three years ago most of us were new to Web2.0 and social media, we distrusted Facebook, disliked LinkedIn, had no time for twitter or blogging and were unaware of the other many social media sites.
